The Al-Khair Foundation for Development continued its program to promote the study "The Interrelationships of Yemeni Migration," presenting a copy to Professor Dr. Ahmed Ezz El-Din Bayanouni, an academic, economist, and Director General of the Mobc Group.
The copy was presented by Ms. Salwa Muharram, representing the Al-Khair Foundation for Development, in the presence of Dr. Amr Maadikarb Al-Hamdani, a member of the Shura Council, and Mr. Al-Azzi Al-Salawi, an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the significant economic dimension of the study on Yemeni migration, including its examination of the effects of migration on the economy and society, the role of Yemeni expatriates in trade and investment, financial remittances, knowledge transfer, and economic relations between Yemen and their host countries.
Those behind the initiative stressed that utilizing specialized economic and academic expertise is essential for interpreting the study and developing its findings, especially given that Yemeni migration has been, and continues to be, a phenomenon with profound economic impacts on families, communities, and the national economy. Dr. Ahmed Ezz El-Din Bayanouni commended the research behind the study, considering the documentation of the economic experience of Yemeni migrants an important field for researchers and policymakers.
He added that studying historical experiences can help in understanding investment opportunities and leveraging the potential of Yemenis abroad. Participants emphasized the importance of continuing the discussion surrounding the study and expanding the circle of specialists involved in its analysis.
This would allow for the development of ideas and proposals related to Yemeni migration and its economic and developmental impacts. The study was presented to Dr. Bayanouni as part of the Al-Khair Foundation for Development's program to reach academic, economic, and cultural elites and make the study accessible to individuals with diverse expertise and specializations.
