As part of the Al-Khair Foundation for Development's program to promote the study "The Mutual Effects of Yemeni Migration" and disseminate it to media and cultural figures, a copy of the study was presented to writer and journalist Ali Al-Sharabi.
The copy was delivered by Ms. Salwa Muharram, representing the Al-Khair Foundation for Development; Dr. Amr Ma'dikarib Al-Hamdani, a member of the Shura Council; and Mr. Al-Azzi Al-Salawi, an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
Those behind the initiative emphasized that journalism and writing are crucial fields for documenting the social and humanitarian transformations that Yemen has witnessed, including the phenomenon of migration, which has been an integral part of the Yemeni society's experience for decades. They noted that the study "The Mutual Effects of Yemeni Migration" aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the experiences of Yemenis in the diaspora and the reciprocal impacts this experience has had on social, cultural, economic, and civilizational spheres.
The participants emphasized the importance of engaging journalists and writers in reading the study, given the insights media expertise can offer on how Yemeni migration is addressed in media and cultural discourse, and how to document the stories and experiences of Yemeni migrants and highlight their contributions.
For his part, Professor Ali Al-Sharabi expressed his appreciation for receiving a copy of the study, stressing the importance of projects that document the social history of Yemenis and their experiences abroad. He commended the effort invested in preparing the study.
He affirmed that the issue of Yemeni migration deserves further research and media and cultural attention, given its close connection to the history of Yemeni society and its extensive relations with various countries around the world.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Al-Khair Foundation for Development's program to broaden the study's reach and engage various Yemeni elites in reading and discussing the issues it raises related to the history of Yemeni migration and its reciprocal effects.
