Reflecting his interest in the issues of the homeland and expatriates, Engineer Hatem Abu Hatem, a leading member of the Nasserist Popular Unionist Organization and head of the Committee to Resist Normalization with the Zionist Enemy, received a copy of an important study addressing the reciprocal effects of Yemeni migration.
This study was delivered by Dr. Amr Maadikarb Al-Hamdani, a member of the Publicity Committee and a member of the Shura Council, and Professor Al-Azzi Al-Salwi, advisor to the Ministry of Expatriate Affairs and a member of the Publicity Committee.
This study seeks to analyze the social and economic impacts of Yemeni migration, as migration constitutes a central issue in the lives of many Yemenis, especially in light of the current circumstances facing the country. It also aims to shed light on how the homeland can benefit from the experiences of expatriates and their impact on local development.
Engineer Hatem Abu Hatem expressed his gratitude to those responsible for this study, noting that such research helps understand the challenges facing expatriates and how to enhance their role in developing their homeland. He emphasized the importance of unifying efforts to address the challenges facing national identity under the current circumstances.
The study demonstrates that Yemeni expatriates are not only a source of remittances, but also a cultural and social bridge that contributes to the transfer of expertise and experience. Hence, the role of the government and society in strengthening this communication and providing the necessary support to expatriates.
The submission of this study is an important step toward formulating effective policies that support expatriates and contribute to building a better future for Yemen.
