The committee tasked with launching the study "The Mutual Effects of Yemeni Migration," represented by Professor Al-Azzi Al-Salawi, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Amr Ma'dikarib Al-Hamdani, Member of the Shura Council, presented a copy of the study to the esteemed scholar and ascetic, Sheikh Mukhtar Al-Muzani, a prominent figure and scholar of the Ismaili community, at his residence in Beit Al-Safa, in the presence of several members of the Ismaili sect. During the meeting, Al-Salawi and Al-Hamdani provided an overview of the study, its objectives, and its scholarly and documentary content.

They explained the research and studies it includes, which trace the paths of Yemeni migration throughout its historical periods and across its various regions.

The study also examines the mutual influence between Yemeni migrants and their host communities, and the repercussions of migration on Yemeni society in the social, economic, cultural, and intellectual spheres.

The two members of the publication committee affirmed that this scholarly achievement was closely linked to the vision and support of the late Haj Alwan Saeed Al-Shaibani, who believed that the history of Yemenis in the diaspora is an integral part of Yemen's national history and cultural memory, and that documenting their experiences and contributions and preserving them for future generations is a scholarly and national responsibility.

They pointed out that the late Al-Shaibani did not approach the study as a mere research publication, but rather as a national intellectual project that revives an important aspect of Yemeni history and its presence in the world.

It documents the impact Yemeni migrants have had on their host societies, and the experiences, expertise, and influences they brought back to their homeland, which have contributed to the social, cultural, and economic transformations in Yemen. Al-Salawi and Al-Hamdani praised the role of the Al-Khair Foundation for Development in embracing, sponsoring, and supporting the project, and in contributing to providing the necessary environment for its completion.

This enabled the participating researchers and specialists to present extensive scholarly and documentary material on one of the most prominent phenomena in modern and contemporary Yemeni history. They explained that the program to publicize the study and present it to scholars, intellectuals, universities, research centers, and cultural institutions is a continuation of the mission undertaken by the late Haj Alwan Al-Shaibani.

It also reflects a commitment to ensuring that this work does not remain confined to the pages of books, but rather becomes a widely circulated scholarly reference and a living resource for research, study, and the preservation of national memory. For his part, scholar Mukhtar Al-Muzani expressed his appreciation for being presented with a copy of this achievement, commending the efforts made in documenting the history of Yemeni migration and the contributions of Yemenis in the diaspora.

He also emphasized the importance of such projects in preserving Yemen's historical and cultural heritage. The meeting also included a discussion on the importance of documenting the scientific, cultural, and social heritage of Yemen's diverse communities, and collecting documents, testimonies, and narratives that preserve the richness and diversity of the Yemeni experience, making them accessible to researchers and future generations. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two members of the publication committee emphasized that the best way to honor the memory of the late Haj Alwan Saeed Al-Shaibani is to ensure that the project he sponsored remains present in universities, libraries, research centers, and among researchers. They stressed that the study, "The Mutual Effects of Yemeni Migration," should remain a living record documenting the story of Yemenis in their diaspora, their contributions to the world, and the world's impact on them.

The presentation of the study to the scholar Mukhtar Al-Muzani is part of the publication committee's efforts, in cooperation with the Al-Khair Foundation for Development, to promote this achievement, broaden its reach, and solidify its position as a leading scholarly and documentary project concerned with the history of Yemeni migration and Yemen's cultural and human connections with the world.
